Foundational Scriptures

2 “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.”
Introducing the concept of Training Equipping Net or simply called TEN can jump-start the process of growth from Basic Biblical foundation to Life Group leadership and ministry involvement.
THE GOAL
For everyone to be trained according to his or her individual needs, potential, and ministry by providing an avenue for training and development through a combination of lectures and hands-on exercises.
THE OBJECTIVE
· To teach everyone to think big, start small, and build deep.
· To be able to share their gifts, talents, and abilities with the local church and mission.
· To be able to share their training with others. (Teach others)
· To be founded in the Word of God for guidance and security against the present worldly philosophies.
THE FOCUS
· Teaching the Basic Foundations of Biblical Doctrine.
· Understanding of our 6W’s Ministries with Training and Involvement.
· Be exposed to different aspects of ministry involvement.
· Prepare to go and make disciples.
THE INSPIRATION
Inspired by the scripture taken from Daniel 1; 20, TEN stands for Training Equipping Net. It is likened to a big net that invites everyone to be trained and equipped to be released to the ministry using their individual uniqueness, gifts and calling.
Training means the process of renewing the mind, which leads to a change of perspective about God and life as a disciple or follower of our Lord Jesus who does a particular job based on his or her spiritual gift, talent, and ability and seeks to improve the ministry through their knowledge, passion, and skills. Or the head, the heart, and the hands.
Equipping, which describes something that is provided with what is necessary or applicable, also means to supply the necessary items for a particular purpose. Every ministry has its own unique call and task that requires the necessary tools to be successful. This is the goal of TEN: to provide you with the necessary tools to enhance your gifts, talents, and abilities.
Net invites everyone to be trained and equipped, putting them in one big basket and segregating them afterward to do ministry using their individual uniqueness, gifts, and calling.
THE PROCESS
There will be three major trainings that we will focus on: the Basic Doctrinal Foundation, Practical Ministry Training, and Hands-on Service Training.

“And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.”
This verse shows us that our Lord Jesus grew in the following:
· wisdom (knowledge)
· stature (physically strength)
· favor with God (spiritual life)
· favor with men (social life.)
This is what we want to accomplish as we commit to our TEN Training.
MYTHS ABOUT SPIRITUAL MATURITY
Borrowed form Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven Book
1. Spiritual growth is automatic once you are Born Again.
The truth is that spiritual growth is intentional. It requires a commitment to grow. A person must want to grow, decide to grow, and make an effort to grow.
2. Spiritual growth is mystical, and maturity is attainable by only a select few.
The truth is that spiritual growth is very practical. Any believer can grow to maturity if he or she will develop the habits necessary for spiritual growth.
3. Spiritual maturity can occur instantly if you just find the right “key.”
The truth is that spiritual growth is a gradual process of development. There are no shortcuts to maturity.
4. Spiritual maturity is measured by what you know.
The truth is that maturity is demonstrated more by behavior than by beliefs.
5. Spiritual growth is a personal and private matter.
The truth is that Christians need relationships to grow. We don’t grow in isolation from others. We develop in the context of fellowship.
6. All you need is Bible study to grow.
The truth is that it takes a variety of experiences with God to produce true spiritual maturity. In addition to Bible study, it takes worship experiences, ministry experiences, fellowship experiences, and evangelism experiences.
Our FAITH Goal
Our prayer request and faith GOAL is that we may fill each category people fit to serve using their gifts and abilities to serve others in Jesus’ Name!
My CUT
It is my prayer that these courses will do more than educate you (though they are designed to do that as well) in the ways of the Lord. These topics are designed both to challenge our intellect and shape our character. It will require effort and commitment. and discipline to complete the assignments and reap the full benefit of our equipping. God's word is never poured into our being by some magic formula. It can only be acquired through study and diligence. Our goal is application. Applying the word of God in every aspect of our lives.
